The 10 Things You Need This Fall

Happy Saturday, guys.  This is my first weekend post I've ever done.  I hope it's fun for you, too!

Fall is fast approaching -- are you ready?  But more importantly, is your closet ready?  If it is, way to go!  If it's not, don't fret.  I have put together the top ten things I think you need to try this fall.

1 // Something moto.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Whether it's a jacket, pants or boots, just do it.  Remember, moto doesn't necessarily mean leather, here!

2 // Black and White

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9

Duh. No explanation needed.

3 // Boots

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Groundbreaking, right?  But have you updated them?  If you're in the market, try these.

4 // Leather

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

Leather jackets, obviously!  But try tops and bottoms as well!

5 // Gorgeous hairdos

Ponies, straight, soft waves, braids.
Here's one more 'do I love.

6 // Nail Polish

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Here are my favorite autumn colors for your tips.

7 // Structured bags

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Trade in your beachy, floppy totes for a more shapely purse.

8 // Bold lips

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Put those mega lips on!

9 // Luxe Sweatshirt

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

My favorite piece of clothing, but fancier!!

10 // Hats

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Mostly floppy and felt hats, but some beanies and baseball ones, too.

The colors of MY rainbow

Do any other colors besides grey, black and white exist?  The answer is obviously "yes", but they needn't!  This look is my fave . . . favorite print, in my favorite colors, along with my favorite jeggings and booties.

Working Girl

A couple days a week, my job requires I dress "professionally".  If you've looked through my blog [even just a few pages of it], you will have picked up on the fact that I really only tend to dress casually.  But, even when I dress up, I still have flicks of casual in the outfit.  For example, I like scrunch up one or two of the sleeves, this breaks up the solidness of the sweater and gives it an easier feel.  Here's how I dress for work [without losing "me"].

sunglasses: Karen Walker [LOVE the tortious shell version, too]

Here are more ways I like to look "professional":

She's Got the Look: Kate Bosworth

Simple and classic and just in time for the last few days of summer weather.  Kate's look is easy and great for transitioning into fall.  Pair your white button downs with summery pieces to take your outfit right into autumn.

This past weekend Danny and I went up the canyon for a barbeque and evening with some of Danny's friends.  It had been raining all day which gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my Hunters and to wear my favorite puffer vest [not pictured - sorry!].  It was such a fun night [watch the most recent video on my Instagram!] and so fun to wear fall clothes.

Moto Lax

I'm gearing up for fall in these amazing motorcycle boots, hat, and sweater!!  I am so obsessed with anything moto this coming season.  I got these boots at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few weeks back and have been dying to wear them.  And, August's blustery weather has permitted me to do so, already!  I have a feeling I'll be wearing [and collecting] more and more hats this fall.  I really have just fallen in love with them.
[Guys, that's two puns in one post. YES.]

Here are more, exciting ways to get your moto on!

How do you think you'll be wearing moto this fall?

Casual dinner

Dinner at a local Mexican restaurant calls for a super casual outfit.  Coated jeans, converse, and a simple tank.  Put on some rings and bracelets to add excitement to your otherwise plain outfit.

necklace: Tiffany & Co. | bracelets: H&M, Forever21 [similar]

She's Got the Look: Ashley Olsen

Running errands never looked so cool.  Here's how to look as chic as Miss Ashley.  Whose look do you like more?  Ashley's or MK's?

Booties, booties rocking everywhere.

Because summer is turning into fall [*sniff, sniff*], it's time to start transitioning summer wears into fall ones.  Boots are a great way to do this -- keep your tanks and tees, but trade in your sandals for some booties.  These booties are so comfortable.  When shopping for this year's boot, try out a chunkier heel.  The chunkier the heel, the easier they are to walk in and to wear all day and night.  But I haven't put my favorite sandals away just yet, I'll be milking summer for a little while longer.
